Stephanie became a mental health provider because she has always been very passionate about helping others through various challenges. She loves empowering individuals to determine their purpose in life and equipping them with tools to overcome obstacles and restore hope.
Stephanie is registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and working towards obtaining her clinical licensure to become a therapist. She practices with direct supervision under LCSW Melissa Matugas.
Stephanie graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix in 2014, and shortly after with a Masters of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California in 2016. Her work experience includes facilitating substance abuse support groups, conducting individual therapy to those struggling with addiction, and working with children and adults with developmental disabilities under the Kansas City Regional Office. More recently, Stephanie has worked with the homeless veteran population by providing mental health welfare and housing resources.
In her free time, she loves riding her bike and spending time with her grandson. She is a mother to an adult daughter and son.
